ANGKOR WAT, CAMBODIA
Angkor Wat is a Hindu temple complex in Angkor Wat and is the largest religious monument in the world, on a site measuring 162.6 hectares. Originally constructed as a Hindu temple dedicated to the god Vishnu for the Khmer Empire, it was gradually transformed into a Buddhist temple towards the end of the 12th century.
This gallery features images of ANGKOR WAT in Cambodia. I am not a great fan of ruins and temples but ANGKOR WAT really moved me spiritually. There is something mystical about the buildings, walkways, and hallways. Just knowing that monks and people walked through these halls in the 9th-13th century is awesome,
especially when you see the monks looking very much the same in their dress today.
