OUR THAILAND CONDO
In 2009 we took a big step and brought a condo in Thailand. Having spent a great deal of time there it made sense to buy. There is a rule that 50% of the building has to be owned by Thais and since we bought from a non-Thai the percentage was good. It took a little of a year to remodel. With directions from Allen we converted a two bedroom, two bath into a three bedroom, 2 bath. This greatly increased the property value and hopefully when we sell, it will pay off. We were fortunate to meet a great contractor from Texas who was a joy to work with. He never said something couldn't be done and took us on many buying trips, tile, wood, paint, everything was custom. All the furniture was built in the condo and done to perfection. We have used it every three months and enjoy it very much.
